Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about StreamStash.

How does StreamStash record TikTok lives?

StreamStash captures publicly available TikTok live streams in the cloud. You don't need to keep your browser open or install anything — we handle everything server-side.

Is it free to use?

Yes. The free plan lets you make 3 recordings per week and gives you 1 AI-generated highlight clip per recording at no cost. You only pay if you want all the clips or the full VOD download ($1.49 per recording), or if you upgrade to Pro/Power for more features.

What quality are the recordings?

Free users get 720p recordings (up to 2 hours). Pro users get 1080p (up to 4 hours). Power users can record in 4K when the source stream supports it (up to 6 hours).

How does auto-record work?

Add a TikTok username to your watchlist and we'll automatically start recording whenever they go live. You'll get your clips without lifting a finger. Auto-record is available on Pro (3 slots, 20hr/mo) and Power (15 slots, 80hr/mo) plans.

How does the AI clipping work?

Our system analyzes chat message frequency, gift activity, and viewer count changes during the stream. Moments with unusual spikes — like a gift storm or chat explosion — are automatically identified and cut into clips.

How long are recordings stored?

Free plan: 7 days. Pro plan: 30 days. Power plan: 60 days. After the retention period, recordings and clips are automatically deleted. Make sure to download anything you want to keep.

Can I record any TikTok user?

You can record any public TikTok live stream. If a creator's live is set to private or restricted, it cannot be recorded. Creators can also request to opt out of being recorded on StreamStash.

Is this legal?

StreamStash records publicly available live streams. We maintain a robust DMCA takedown process and allow creators to opt out at any time. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of recorded content complies with applicable laws.

Can creators opt out?

Absolutely. Any TikTok creator can email dmca@streamstash.live with their username and we will permanently block their account from being recorded on our platform. We also process DMCA takedown requests within 24 hours.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel anytime. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months.

What happens if the streamer goes offline during recording?

The recording automatically stops when the stream ends. You'll still get your clips and can download whatever was captured up to that point.
