Sign in to the cloud, open Account, and enter your desktop Power licence key. A card is taken at the start and nothing is charged for 30 days; cancel before then and you pay nothing. One redemption per licence.
Free is a plan, not a trial, and it does not expire. When capacity is short we pause new free sign-ups rather than degrade anyone's recordings.
Why a subscription, when the app is a one-off?
Because the two products cost us differently, and the price follows the cost.
Runs on your computer. After the sale it costs us nothing to keep running, so a one-time price is the honest price. Nothing about it changes: local-first, your files on your drives, the place your archive lives.
Records on our servers around the clock and stores every hour it records. Those costs arrive monthly, so the price does too. It is for the streams that happen while your PC is off, and for people who never wanted to run software at all.
Questions about the cloud.
Does it record lives that already happened?
No. Recording starts from the moment you add a creator. If they went live yesterday, that stream is gone; we cannot fetch past lives, and we do not keep a public back catalogue. Add the creators you care about first, then the next live they go on is recorded.
What quality are the recordings?
Original quality, on every plan including Free. What the creator broadcast is what you keep, for the whole retention period. Recordings are never downscaled to save space.
Can I download the recordings?
Yes, on every plan including Free. Each recording has a full-length MP4 download from its page, alongside the browser player. Download what you want to keep before the retention period ends: 3 days on Free, 30 days on Basic and Plus, 60 days on Pro.
What happens if I stop following a creator?
Recording ends for you at that point. Anything already recorded stays in your account for the rest of its retention period, so you keep what was captured while you followed them.
Do you record age-gated lives?
Where possible. Some lives are restricted by TikTok to signed-in or age-verified viewers, and we record those where we can. When we cannot, the creator shows as Restricted in your dashboard rather than silently offline. We do not promise every live.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the Account page. You keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and your recordings stay for their retention period. The first payment is refundable within 14 days.
Do I need the desktop app?
No. StreamStash Cloud is its own product with its own sign-in. Nothing to install, nothing to keep running. If you own a desktop Power licence there is a perk (your first month of Cloud Plus free), but the two are separate purchases.
Which platforms does the cloud record?
TikTok lives, today. The desktop app records Twitch and Kick as well; the cloud starts with TikTok because it is where recordings vanish the moment the stream ends.
