Uploaded files
Photos and audio a creator uploads come down directly, as the files Patreon serves to your account.
Add a creator you support and StreamStash saves every post your Patreon account can open, photos, audio and video, into a folder on your own Windows machine. Then it keeps checking, so new posts land on their own.
StreamStash works through your own Patreon session, so the line is simple: if your account can open a post, it is saved. If it can't, it is counted, never half-downloaded, and never worked around.
Creators post video in different ways, and a backup that only catches one of them has holes you won't notice until you need it.

Video that plays in Patreon's player is rebuilt into a normal MP4 at up to 1080p, copied rather than re-encoded, so the picture is untouched.
When a creator posts a link instead of uploading, that video is fetched too. These are the ones most likely to vanish, because an unlisted link can be taken down at any time. The rare Vimeo video its owner has locked with DRM can't be saved, and is marked that way instead of being retried.
StreamStash reads that sign-in on the same computer. There is no password to type in and nothing to connect.
Patreon has its own page in StreamStash, under Subscriptions. Paste the creator's page, or drop the link into Add User and the right tab is picked for you. A preview shows what your account can and can't see before you commit.
The first checks walk back through everything the creator has posted, a batch at a time, until they reach the start. A large back catalogue takes a few checks, and the page says so while it is still going.
After that, each creator is checked on the schedule you pick. Adding a creator offers every four hours or longer, because it is your real account doing the looking. Patreon runs in its own download lane, so other sites never hold it up.
StreamStash saves what your Patreon account can already open, and nothing else. It does not unlock posts, skip a paywall, or share anything you save.
Everything stays in a folder on your own machine. Supporting the creators you love is what puts the posts in your account in the first place.
The Power plan, a one-time payment with no subscription. You also need to be signed into Patreon in Firefox, since everything saved comes through your own account.
No. It uses the Patreon account you are already signed into in Firefox on the same computer.
They are counted and skipped. The creator's page shows how many there are and which tier would include them. Nothing is stored for them, and if you join that tier later they are picked up on the next check.
Yes. Anything that sat behind a paid tier is badged Patron-only, and a filter shows just those or just the free posts. Useful on a creator whose page is mostly public, to see what you are actually paying for.
Video hosted on Patreon is saved at up to 1080p, copied rather than re-encoded. YouTube and Vimeo videos linked in a post are saved at up to 1080p as well.
Both are optional and set per creator. Text-only posts are off by default. Comments under each post can be switched on too.
No. Saved files are ordinary files in your own folder, and StreamStash never deletes them because Patreon stopped showing a post. It simply can't fetch anything new that your account can no longer open. More in how to back up the Patreon posts you pay for.
No. StreamStash is a Windows app, not a website. Everything it saves stays on your own machine.
Every post your account can open, saved to your own drive and kept up to date. Part of the Power plan, one payment, no subscription.
