Create a local archive from Discord channels and DMs you can already open in your browser. StreamStash captures visible history, keeps message context, and downloads attachments into your library.
Discord channels and DMs are not public feeds in the same way as YouTube, Twitch, or Threads. StreamStash uses a browser-assisted bookmarklet flow so you deliberately open the conversation, expose the history you want to keep, and import that visible context into a local archive.
This is useful when a channel or DM contains research material, project receipts, creator files, moderation context, or media you need to keep with the surrounding conversation.
Discord only renders part of a conversation at a time. To capture older messages, scroll upward and let Discord load more history before running the bookmarklet or continuing the capture. Very large channels or DMs may take multiple passes.
The message import stores attachment references first. After import, use StreamStash to download the attached media into your local archive.
Attachments are saved with the archive record so images, videos, and other files remain connected to the message context that made them useful.

Discord archives are local to your StreamStash library. StreamStash is not a hosted Discord export service, and there is no StreamStash cloud account receiving your conversation data.
Make sure the active browser tab is a Discord channel or DM, not a server overview, settings screen, DM list, or login page. Open the exact conversation and try again.
Discord is more sensitive than a public feed. StreamStash uses a deliberate bookmarklet flow so it is not polling Discord in the background. The import runs only when you open a conversation and start capture yourself.
Scroll upward in Discord and wait for older messages to load before capturing again. Discord does not place the entire conversation history in the page at once.
Run the attachment download step after message import. If a file still fails, open it in Discord with the same account. If Discord cannot load it, StreamStash cannot download it either.
Keep StreamStash running locally, return to the Discord channel or DM, and click the bookmarklet again. The bookmarklet creates or updates the archive from the conversation information it reads on the page.
